The Graze V.192: Deep Imagination

Dear Friends,

Christmas is the revelation of the Great Mystery that permeates the cosmos, swirls through the mountain ranges and runs through the rivers to the wide oceans. It is a celebration of Love entangled in the hearts and bodies of every human, every ‘more-than-human’ being and every infinitesimal particle of land.

The arrival of a new year prompts us to question our connection with land and, consequently, with this Great Mystery.  My esteemed professor, Ellen Davis, who greatly influences my understanding of ecology and faith, describes the climate emergency not as a scientific or technological issue, but rather as a crisis of imagination and will. Healing ourselves and our planet requires deep imagination. Can you see the Great Mystery that is love in the blue jay outside your window? Can you hear Her in the flowing river? Can you feel the presence of Love in the falling snow?

Wishing you blessings for a  meaningful start, filled with connection and deep imagination,

🌱 Lisa
